Evolution of the Public Address System
The public address system has been in use for many decades and it has been proven to be of great use to huge populations of people. During the war, different types of public address system were used to communicate to people what was happening and what are the things they should do to stay out of harm’s way. Portable pa system was not yet available at that time and only centralized systems were in place.
In those trying times, the populations were informed through pa system if their troops were winning or losing the war. It was also through the pa system where they would learn if they have to hide on bunkers because of enemy air raids. The public address system was also used in informing citizens that their country has lost the war and they have to be prepared for the consequences of their defeat. On the other, those who were victorious also informed their citizens about their triumph suing the pa system.
